Mercer is a world leader company in the health and benefits marketplace. Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) provides a consultative broking approach and Health and Benefit solutions in over 135 countries

Challenge

Design and implement global Mercer HR Consulting International Employee Benefits Platform for European clients. From a high perspective the system will be a large scale project which provides employee benefits services for more than 200 international VIP companies. Client wanted to create a dual system comprised of two big applications: Generic Employee Benefits Portal and Back Office Web Portal.

Implement all technological features for consolidating B2C multi-culture employee benefits portal over a 50.000 concurrent accesses environment

• Designing and development of Core System architecture (Abstract Core).
• Implement metaprogramming techniques for allowing modelling dynamic business logic
• Consolidate a dynamic and highly-customizable UIX over same web portal domain
• Implement powerful back-office web application and robust reporting system
• Integrate business needs and custom policies from over 200 clients

We analyzed the customer’s requirements and dynamic business needs and created a flexible and highly decoupled architecture as part of core implementation basis on metaprogramming techniques.

This way, application users and client programmer can take advantage of its core and metadata for including up-coming clients into platform preserving responsiveness and without performance degradation.
